Compromise v/s Confrontation

In any given situation, we are faced with two fundamental choices:

Compromise: we see the situation as not developing as per our perception, yet accept current reality and adjust ourselves.

Confrontation: Refuse to accept the situation in its current form and make efforts to change it as per our requirement.

Compromise may be necessary, when we are dealing with people (not everybody has same skill sets, thinks or acts the same as us), but confrontation makes us go beyond the “possible” into the realm of even better possibilities.

A wise man is who compromises when dealing with others, but unyielding when dealing with himself.
